Pastor William Hixson
Pastor William Hixson has faithfully served in ministry for over 49 years and is the senior pastor of Athens Bible Church. Pastor Hixson and his wife, Linda, have been a part of the Athens community since their time in college and have raised their four children in the area.
With degrees from Ohio University and Grace Theological Seminary, Pastor Hixson brings a rich background in both academic and pastoral ministry. He not only leads weekly services at Athens Bible Church but also extends his ministry through Bible studies, outreach at local nursing homes, and spiritual support on the campus of Ohio University.
It was during his own college years that he became serious about serving the Lord, and that experience continues to shape his desire to encourage students and the surrounding community today.
Pastor Hixson has a passion for traveling to visit Biblical sites and missionaries. With numerous trips to South America, he faithfully served as a board member for Gospel Mission of South America.
